As one of the most influential businessmen in the Canadian financial community, Mr. Telfer has been recognized with special achievement awards by various organizations such as the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and the BC & Yukon Chamber of Mines. In May 2018, Mr. Telfer was inducted as Companion of the Order of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. Mr. Telfer is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Neil Woodyer
CEO and Director
Neil Woodyer was a founder and the CEO of both Leagold Mining Corporation and Endeavour Mining. He has an extensive history in the mining sector creating growth strategies, implementing financing plans, and leading management teams. In 1988, Mr. Woodyer founded Endeavour Financial, a successful mining merchant banking and advisory business. In 2009, he devised Endeavour’s growth strategy, and, as CEO, Mr. Woodyer led Endeavour Financial’s transition from a financial company into a mine operations and development company, Endeavour Mining. Endeavour grew through a series of acquisitions and new mine builds to become one of the largest gold producers in West Africa. In 2016, Mr. Woodyer founded and served as the CEO of Leagold Mining, which developed gold mines in Mexico and Brazil. Following the Leagold Mining merger with Equinox Gold Corp. in 2020, Mr. Woodyer took the helm at Aris Gold Corp., and led the company to its merger with GCM Mining Corp. to create Aris Mining Corporation in 2022.

Sustainability CommitteeGermán Arce is the President of the Trust Association and formerly served as the President of the National Trade Council of Colombia. Mr. Arce holds a M.Sc. in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom and a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad del Valle. Mr. Arce has also held prominent positions within the Colombian government and regulatory bodies, including as Minister of Colombia’s Mines and Energy, Manager of the National Adaptation Fund, a fund controlled by the Colombian Ministry of Finance to manage climate change impacts, President of Colombia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency, Colombian Vice Minister of Finance and as the Colombian General Director of Public Credit. Additionally, Mr. Arce has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Colombian National Hydrocarbons Agency, National Mining Agency, National Infrastructure Agency, Mining and Energy Planning Unit, and Colombian Geological Service. He was also the president of the Energy and Gas Regulatory Commission.

Ms. Cambone graduated cum laude from the University of Rome where she earned her Master’s degree in Communications. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Montreal’s Concordia University.

Ms. de Greiff was also a director of Ecopetrol SA and the Executive President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. She has previously held positions in both the public and private sectors, including Minister of Justice and Vice Minister of Mines and Energy for the Republic of Colombia. Ms. de Greiff is a former member of the Board of Directors of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Audit CommitteeGonzalo Hernández holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, is an Economist from Universidad Javeriana, and serves as a Professor of its Department of Economics. Mr. Hernández currently serves as a director of Ecopetrol S.A., Colombia’s largest and primary oil and gas company. He is also a director of Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional, a bank for infrastructure development. Mr. Hernández has previously held the position of Technical Vice Minister of Finance and Public Credit. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Bicentenario S.A.S., and the Administrator of Resources of the General System of Social Security in Health in Colombia. He held the positions of chair of the Department of Economics and Research director at Universidad Javeriana.

Compensation CommitteeDavid Garofalo is the Chair, CEO and President of Gold Royalty Corp. He is the former President and CEO of Goldcorp Inc., a position he held from 2016 until its sale to Newmont Corporation in 2019. Prior to Goldcorp, Mr. Garofalo was President, CEO and Director of Hudbay Minerals Inc., Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO and Director with Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited and Treasurer of Inmet Mining Corporation. Mr. Garofalo was recognized as the Mining Person of the Year by the Northern Miner in 2012 due to his track record of successfully operating major global mining companies with high standards of environmental and safety performance and community relationships. He was named Canada’s CFO of the Year by Financial Executives International Canada in 2009. Mr. Garofalo holds a BComm (with distinction) from the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA, FCA) and a Certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D). He is a Director of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and Director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

Most recently, Mr. Roux was COO of Equinox Gold Corp. following its merger with Leagold Mining Corporation, where he held the same position. Prior to Leagold, he was COO of Endeavour Mining Corporation, where he was instrumental in the development and growth of the company over a seven-year period. Prior to Endeavour, he was Head of Metallurgy for AngloGold Ashanti, where he worked for more than 34 years. Mr. Roux is a Registered Professional with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions.
