Marmato Mine - Aris Mining Corporation

The historic Marmato Upper Mine is a narrow-vein mine using small scale, labour intensive mining methods and is currently producing approximately 20,000 – 25,000 ounces of gold per year.

An expansion project is underway with the construction of the new Lower Mine to access wider porphyry mineralization below the Upper Mine. The expansion started in Q3 2023 and includes a new portal and decline, dedicated processing facility and the use of efficient mechanized mining methods.

In Q1 2025, engineering assessments were initiated to expand the carbon-in-pulp (CIP) processing facility currently under construction. As a result of the studies, Aris Mining is expanding the CIP processing facility at the Lower Mine from 4,000 tpd to 5,000 tpd, which involves enhancements such as the installation of a secondary crushing circuit and an extra leach tank. The processing facility expansion also requires acceleration of certain project components, such as the backfill plant, which was originally planned for construction during operations.

Alongside the Lower Mine construction, we are also expanding our CMP business model at the Upper Mine flotation processing facility.

With the completion of these expansions, the combined Upper and Lower Marmato Mines have the potential to produce over 200,000 ounces of gold per year.

Marmato Lower Mine is expected to start ramping up production in H2 2026.
